“Alexis had a drive to understand more than just the concepts that were being taught. She wanted to understand how everything was connected together in science. Alexis also did not give up easily on difficult problems.”

Elizabeth Davidson, Honors Chemistry Teacher

” In the classroom she always ranks among the top students in achievement and she exemplifies a strong work ethic and desire to learn. I have been teaching for 28 years and have never seen a student accomplish so much.  She is a strong leader who motivates others to do their best..”

Mike Huemoeller, Honors Biology Teacher

“Alexis is a rare student because she views education as a way to help her process and change the world around her, rather than a box to be checked. Additionally, Alexis is incredibly strong and self-aware.”
